Personal note: I witnessed senior elementary students’ reports on metacognition exercises a couple of years ago in which each explained how they had learned what kind of learner they tended to be. I was amazed at how naturally and easily they seem to have embraced the concept and how they were able to describe how it changed their approach to studying and school work. presents several strategies for developing metacognitive behaviours in students.
