On a page entitled, “EGallery: Exemplary Student Scholarship,” part of the University of Calgary’s Master of Teaching Program, Deena Sallomy presents a daily journal of teaching experience. It’s a long read, but perhaps especially valuable for new teachers. She concludes, “Reflection seems to be the key to personal and professional growth: reflect on your lessons, your students, and yourself and your experience will guide you the rest of the way. All of this has been a treasured learning experience that will be looked upon years to come. It is now a part of me.”
